The Dem Club and DEC will be sending out actions you can take to help make a difference. It could be to send an email, make phone calls, mail a letter, attend a sign waiving or event, etc. WE NEED TO SPEAK UP AND SHOW THAT WE ARE HERE AND OUR VOICES MATTER! 

Help Save the Weeki Wachee Preserve!  

SWFWMD (SouthWest Florida Water Management District) is in the process of reviewing a proposal from Hernando County and the BOCC to create a beach and swimming feature in the Weeki Wachee PRESERVE.  The WWP is a critical link in the wildlife corridor and home to countless birds, gopher tortoises, and a small colony of Florida black bears.  The County is asking to purchase or swap 750 ACRES of the WWP for this development and future development plans that remain undisclosed.  Please email you opposition to this folly to:
